The ballot is open for CSD's 2019-2020 Board of Directors! Cast your vote any time between now and Wednesday, June 19. Candidate Profile: Incoming Co-Chair Stephanie Goodwin, Jackson County Library Experience I have spent the last 15 years working in youth services from my early beginnings as a volunteer all the way up to supervising my own department. During this time I have taught early literacy workshops to community organizations, performed numerous story times, planned countless Summer Reading Programs, and took early literacy on the road through a preschool bookmobile. Candidate statement I am interested in this position as I see it as a way to give back to my youth services community. It has only been through support and guidance of my fellow youth workers that I have had the experiences and gained the knowledge that I have and now I feel it is my time to turn around and share this with others. During my time as chair I hope to continually raise awareness on the importance of the youth years as the foundation for the rest of their lives as well as encourage, support, and be a resource to the many wonderful youth workers in Oregon libraries who might feel they need a little extra support. If you could be any children's book character, what character would you be? Turtle Wexler from The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. She's clever and enjoys a mystery and getting to the bottom of it. Stephanie is running as co-chair with Bryce Kozla from Washington County Cooperative Library Services. Vote for this dynamic duo before Wednesday, June 19!
