The Oregon Reader's Choice Award was founded in 2010.  The award is intended to be a fun and exciting way for Oregon youth in grades 4-12 to become enthusiastic and discriminating readers.  During the course of the school year, Oregon students choose their favorite book in a real-life democratic process.

 Shark Lady: The True Story of How Eugenie Clark Became the Ocean’s Most Fearless Scientist  by Jess Keating

The Beverly Cleary Children's Choice Award (BCCCA) sponsored by OASL (formerly OEMA)  is named in honor of Beverly Cleary, the Oregon born children's book author. Children of all ages may vote each spring for their favorite title from the list of nominated books.  The winning title is announced on Beverly Cleary's birthday, April 12. Nominations include books targeted to the reading ability of 2nd and 3rd graders or transitional readers.

Eloise Jarvis McGraw Award for Children's Literature

The Eloise Jarvis McGraw award is given annually to an Oregon children's author for a published book.  The award was not given in 2020.
