CSD Needs You!

Hello colleagues!

We hope your week is going exactly the way you hoped it would.

We are your past CSD Chair, Jaime Thoreson (Sherwood Public Library), your current CSD Chair, Anna Bruce (Happy Valley Library), and your CSD Chair Elect, Mackenzie Ross (Beaverton City Library).

Children's Services Division needs you. 

If you're looking to make a big difference in your library world, please consider volunteering your time to CSD. There are positions that take 2 hours a month, 1 hour a month or less. All of the meetings are through Zoom and a lot of the work we do is asynchronistic.

CSD can only be a robust committee if we have dedicated help.
If you want to see:

• Scholarships awarded (Awards Chair)
• Lampman awarded (Awards Chair)
• Workshops for Youth Services Librarians (Workshop Coordinator)
• Up-To-Date Information (Communications Coordinator / Secretary)
• Summer Reading News (Summer Reading Representative)
• A Current and Robust Presenters Directory (Presenters Directory Coordinator)

• The Voice of Youth Services heard at the OLA Board meetings (Chair/Chair-Elect).

We need people to help. If it seems like too much work for one person, find a buddy and work together as co-coordinators!

If you cannot commit to a position at this time, there is no judgement, but please let us know why (not an OLA member, supervisor does not support the work, etc.)  This will inform current committee members how to move forward in the coming years.
