Greetings from the Children Services Division!

Just like OLA is going to be a little different this year, so too is the Evelyn Sibley Lampman breakfast.

The Lampman Breakfast of Champions is an event at OLA to enjoy breakfast while giving a special shout-out to a youth librarian, author, or educator in Oregon who is making a difference in the lives of Oregon youth.
There are only two requirements this year to nominate someone: the person lives in Oregon and has championed youth in Oregon.

If you choose to join us at the Lampman Breakfast of Champions, invite your Champion and you will get a chance to read your letter out loud to them and everyone at the breakfast. All shout-outs will be printed and displayed on a banner in the room for all to enjoy.

The Children's Services Division (CSD) of the Oregon Library Association (OLA) is offering scholarships of up to $1,000 to help CSD members attend the OLA Conference in Eugene, OR, from April 23-25, 2025. The funds can be used for conference registration, travel, lodging, and meals.
Preference will be given to:
Applicants from diverse or underrepresented groups
Applicants working with underserved communities
Applicants who have not received a CSD scholarship before
Applicants from small or rural institutions with limited funding
Scholarship recipients must:
Be a current CSD/OLA member, or become one
Cover any extra costs for family or friends attending with them
Provide receipts for travel and meal expenses
Complete a short survey after the conference
Agree to share what they learned with CSD members, such as presenting at a workshop, writing an article, serving on the board, or other professional development activities.
